New skirt!

My brother got it for me for Christmas. I normally hate it when people buy me clothes, but this skirt I asked for specifically. I've wanted a red and black underpleated skirt for a while now. Since high school, really. I guess what I hate is people speculating what I'd like to wear and trying to be gracious for them buying a gift that they clearly put thought into while I'm thinking, "Oh dear gods! Is this what they think of me?!"

Sorcerer's Apprentice

There was a power outage last night. Power outages always make me glad I live in an old farmhouse designed to keep warm with wood heat. Which gets me to thinking about the era in which it was built.

The long armwarmers over a button-up shirt look was taken directly from The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I do have old man shoes on under that skirt. Sadly, they still have rubber soles.

Tie- Not actually a tie. I think it was a belt originally.

Sadly, this is my happy face.

It's finally snowed, the Christmas presents I ordered online arrived, and I've done some baking. I'm really very excited about the winter holidays. Sadly, "happy" and "sarcastic" are very similar expressions for me.

Visiting my Grandfather

Most of the nursing home was rather taken by this outfit. Although I was asked if I was in some sort of Christmas festival once or twice.

I wondered about how wearing a skirt longer than my petticoat would look, but in the end I rather like the effect. It reminds me of panniers.

Time Traveler Day

Today is pretend you're a time traveler day. I could be a schoolgirl from anywhere between 1890 and 1968. If they're trying not to break the space-time continuum, they act pretty much the same.
